First Annual Weston FC Golf Tournament

Bonaventure Resort & Spa Weston FC First Annual Golf Tournament Coming Up Soon!

If you’ve been around the club for a while… maybe as far back as when it was the “Weston Fury”, you may recall that there have been a couple previous golf tournaments.  So why is this called the “First Annual Weston FC Golf Tournament”? The answer is easy.  “Why not?”

The first things we want to do is thank the team at the Bonaventure Resort & Spa as well as the guys at the Bonaventure Country Club, site of this year’s event.  They have been spectacular to work with and have promised to help make this an event worth attending… and one that will be remembered for quite some time!

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS TOURNAMENT?

Great question!  We are hosting this tournament for two reasons:

  1. To help raise money to provide scholarships for players within our club… this will allow the best of the best to play in our club, regardless of their financial situation.
  2. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Womens’ Breast & Heart Initiative, an outreach organization dedicated to educating women about the importance of breast and heart health while providing them with the resources to beat these diseases.

Awesome, right?  

Now you probably want to know how you can help or be involved.  Well, if you are reading this, you are welcome to participate in any number of ways:

  1. Be a golfer – You can register as a foursome, threesome, pair or individual by simply clicking here.
  2. Join us for our BBQ / Awards Dinner / Silent Auction – If you’re not a golfer, come spend some time at the aLaya Spa and then join us for dinner.  You can register for dinner by clicking here and scrolling to the bottom of the page.
  3. Help with Sponsorships – Maybe your company or the company you work for would like to sponsor the event?  We’ve got a number of packages available.   4. Join the team – Our committee is always looking for fresh ideas from people willing to do a little hard work.  Don’t want to join the committee but want to volunteer in some capacity, we’d love to have you on board!  You’ll be able to click here to volunteer but for now, just SEND AN EMAIL and we’ll see where and how you’d like to fit within the team.

We have roughly 70 soccer teams in our club and in this First Annual event, we only have room for 30 – 36 foursomes.  What’s that mean? FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED!  If you want to golf, get your foursome together and get registered soon!

WHEN IS IT?

Thursday, October 20th.  Its an afternoon event so you can go to work in the morning, then spend the rest of the day enjoying an awesome round of golf while helping two very deserving beneficiaries. All of the details can be found here.
