Christopher Andrade
Chris had an outstanding weekend at the Future’s Cup in Auburndale this past weekend where he contributed to his team’s success in each and every game including an intense Semi-final match that went into OT & PK’s! Chris had 3 saves in the PK shootout! In addition, he made saves at crucial moments in the game as well, ultimately earning him the MVP title for the weekend!! He is coming off of an excellent month of training & games where he is displaying tons of growth & maturity in the position! Well done Chris!
Francisco Verajao
He had an amazing week of training showing a very high level, understanding the message in each of the established exercises and drills. Keep it up Fran!
Francisco Dammert
Francisco continues to lead the back line of defense. He has learned how to balance his position where he transitions between defending and attacking. He plays with high intensity and speed that inspires his teammates to leave everything on the field of play.
Nicolas Visbal
Nico marshalled a defense that was impenetrable today in a 2-0 win. Defending was the focus since we only had one sub (thank you Luis Mejia). Nico kept everyone organized and tight. He only pushed up on set pieces. He constantly cut off the passing lanes and won the aerial battles. His distribution from the back was precise. He kept reminding the forwards about the low line of confrontation. He played simple but effective. He solved problems through communications.
Luis Sanchez
Luis had an excellent game this past weekend and has impressed in recent weeks. He helped his team play out of the back effectively and regularly supported the midfield while contributing to the attack at just the right moments. Luis has been working hard to familiarize himself with the new position he only recently started playing. He more than handled himself against a very talented opponent. Luis has lots of potential and has earned himself a starting role with his recent efforts.
Santiago Marchetti
Playing in his last game before going back to Uruguay, Santiago showed why he is an amazing young player with passion to play constantly. Santiago led his team to a convincing victory against Delray by scoring 4 goals and adding in an assist as well. He even scored a goal laying on the ground against a top notch team. The Blue will certainly miss Santiago and we all wish him well. Great job Santiago.
Martin Mcgrath
He played an incredible game this weekend, showing a great ability to play simple and intelligent, covering in a perfect way and creating innumerable game situations. He certainly has an extraordinary future within Weston FC. 100% deserved for Martin.
Tiago Consani
He had an outstanding weekend at Dimitri Cup. Tiago’s vision, quick combinations, and superb dribbling created many scoring opportunities for his team. Tiago also was crucial in helping the team defend as well as in transitions. Tiago excelled during the games’ most intense moments and was select as team captain during the weekend for those very reasons.
Christian Alves
Christian has shown a fast pace development not only in his individual skills but also in his teamwork. Intelligent, versatile, and fast, Christian has the ability to use both feet comfortably. He is an important player for the team’s successes so far in the season, we believe Christian to have a bright future. Well deserved nomination young man!
Andres Gonzalez
Andres Gonzalez has been getting better every month and had a terrific Dimitri Cup Tournament. Scoring several goals in the U13 Division (one a header), but more importantly helping his team with tough possession, great distribution, and awesome pressing. Way to go Andres!!
Rafael Piazzi
Rafael has been a consistent goal scorer for us putting away 3 in the back of the net over the weekend. He created numerous chances for us to score, including a game winning penalty kick in the last minutes of the game. He has shown leadership skills, helping to motivate his teammates and always plays the game with passion and energy, which is why he is successful. Keep it up Rafa!
