Felipe Pacheco
Felipe played an excellent tournament this past weekend. Made several crucial saves to help us make it to the finals. Felipe is a hard worker and his development as a goalie has been exceptional this year. Very well deserved.. Congratulations to Felipe!!
Luca Vezza
Luca was instrumental this weekend helping his team make it to the finals at the Plantation Thanksgiving Cup. He is a very reliable, calm and consistent player. He is very dedicated to his own personal development and it has been incredible to see his growth.
Juan Tatan Mejia
Played for blue this weekend as the captain for blue injured his ankle the week prior so Juan stepped up and was brilliant this weekend. Played every minute of the four games and ignited the Blue team throughout the weekend and after allowing a ball to get through in the last minutes of the first game Tatan clamped down and helped his Blue to three straight shutouts and the title in the High School 18s Showcase bracket. Well done to a rising superstar.
Stefano Perez
Stefano teamed up with Juan Mejia and between the two of them manned the defensive line that gave up one lone goal in the first game and that’s it in 4 super competitive games this weekend and helped propel his guest team into their well deserved title. Stefano even was able to capitalize on his 6’4″ frame by scoring a nice header in one of the games. Excellent with his feet and great vision throughout the field. Most certainly a player to be looked at into our higher teams as he moves along in Weston.
Santiago Ribas
Santiago continues to play consistently well as a defender and has learned to make attacking runs up the flank. He has a great positive attitude and is always encouraging his teammates to give a 100%.
Matias Klas
Matias is usually my starting center back but due to some injuries Matias was called upon to be the cdm in the blues lineup and what a move it was. Matias connected wonderfully with the other mids and became the quarterback in their formation. Not only did he spearhead the defense but he pushed the offense himself scoring a few goals along the way. Matias was named MVP this weekend by his coaches and teammates and well deserved for sure. This young man is going to be successful.
Ignazio Sinopoli
Without a doubt the heart and soul of this super strong Blue team. Controlled the play on the field whether at 6 8 or 10. Ignazio is well rounded as a midfielder and understands fully defense and offense of the center. Smartest player on the field and even more so off the field. Super proud of Ignazio as he has already been accepted into FAU to further his education and working with the asst coach of FAU to get Ignazio an opportunity to play the sport he loves.
Andrew Henderson
Tanner has been working really hard and is beyond committed to getting better every day. Truly a talent and if he continues to work hard and be a student of the game the sky is the limit. Tanner is a true u7 player playing against u9 and still shows his advanced ability with the ball and technique. Congratulations Tanner!!
Mathias Martínez
Mathias had an outstanding match vs Miami Rush scoring 4 goals and leading his team to a 6-2 Victory! Well done Mathias!!
Mike Torres
Mike had an outstanding and very productive weekend scoring some timely much needed goals to enable his team to get to the finals. Mike’s work ratio was uncanny this weekend. Never resting up top. He challenged the goalies and forced numerous errors due to his high press on them and the center backs. Mike has grown into a very intelligent and strong striker and at 6 feet tall and quick Mike has opportunities awaiting him as he pursues a college opportunity as well.
Jacob Garcia
Jacob has been working really hard since he has come to Weston. Very disciplined, respectful, and a great player and competitor. Jacob scored 4 goals in our last group stage game to give us a 5-4 win that ended up getting us to the finals. Jacob also scored many other goals throughout the weekend. Moscovita was award player of the tournament for his consistency both days. Very proud of Jacob and well deserved.
