WESTON FC PRESS RELEASE – GIRLS PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT

Weston FC is excited to announce 2 important appointments in the Girls Program.

Tim Miller will assume the role as the Girls Technical Director for the remainder of the season and the upcoming 2018/19 season.

Tim has been coaching for over 20 years and will be going into his 5th year at Weston FC, where he has successfully carried out the role of DOC U8-U12. While playing in college, Tim began coaching and training at the high school level and moved to Florida in 2000.  He began his club coaching at Boca United FC from 2002-2008 and would eventually become Director of Coaching of the girls program at Kicks SC/FC Florida from 2008-2014, developing players that would go into US National Youth training camps and various collegiate programs around the nation.

Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Physical Education and Health Education from Shepherd University and a masters in Education Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Tim has been a teacher and administrator for 15 years.  He attended NCAA DII Shepherd University where he started all four years earning all conference honors as a forward. He is also a trainer and scout for both the US Soccer Federation Training Centers in Florida and US Club Soccer ID2 program.

Tim holds his NSCAA National Diploma, NSCAA National Youth License, NSCAA GK Level 1 and 2 and NSCAA Director of Coaching license.

Matt Parry has been appointed as the Girls’ Development Academy Technical Director and will lead the Academy girls’ teams for the remainder of this season and the upcoming 2018/19 season.

Matt had a stellar four-year career at NSU and became the first NSU Men’s Soccer All-American. He was inducted into the NSU Athletics Hall of Fame with the Class of 2011.

Matt holds a USSF A License, the NSCAA Premier Diploma and the Level 2 Coaching Certificate from the English FA.
