weston cup 125Florida’s premier Presidents’ Day Weekend tournament for boys and girls teams. In 2015, the Weston Cup had 624 teams from throughout Florida, multiple states, and international teams from Haiti and Ireland that competed at four facilities which included over 30 playing fields. Teams from outside Florida, including international teams participate each year. The tournament will offer four levels of competition: Showcase, Gold, Silver, and Bronze for U8 through U19 boys and girls teams. The Weston Cup & Showcase will again be held Presidents’ Day Weekend, February 12-15, 2016. We anticipate teams from across Florida, out-of-state and international teams. The Weston Cup & Showcase is sanctioned by Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) and US Club Soccer.

WHEN
Competition for some teams will begin on Friday, February 12 and all teams will begin by Saturday, Feb 13.  The tournament concludes on Monday, February 15, 2016.  Teams from out of the area who wish to play on Friday, in an effort to spread out their games, may also be included to do so, but no guarantee can be given to accommodate such requests.

WHERE
The main sites will be Weston Regional Park and Vista Park in Weston and Central Park and Pine Island in Plantation with the additional sites to be determined. Weston Regional Park is one of Florida’s Premier Facilities and has hosted the State Cup Final Four and many regional events. Vista Park was opened for our 2005 Tournament and is a premier facility with four full size lit fields. Central Park and Pine Island are excellent soccer facilities and are considered to some of the best in the state of Florida.

WHO
Showcase Division is open to Boys and Girls U15, U16, U17, U18 and U19.
Gold, Silver, and Bronze Divisions are open to Boys and Girls U8 through U19.
The Weston Cup & Showcase has added a special U13 division for U12 teams looking to play 11v11 in preparation for the 2015-2016 soccer season. This division will only be for U12 teams. Depending on the total number of applied teams, Gold and Silver groups may be added to the special U13 division for U12 teams to better place teams according to the competitive level of the applied teams. Please note the special U13 division will play under the U13 rules as noted in the Tournament Rules and the registration fee will be the standard U13 fee ($750.00 per team). LEVELS OF PLAY
SHOWCASE: U15-U16-U17-U19 Age Group Brackets
Highest level of competition. Teams that compete regionally and nationally. Top Division I teams from across Florida, out-of-state, and international teams are expected to participate making this a highly competitive event at the Premier Divisions.
GOLD: U8-U19 Single Age Group Brackets
High level Division I teams from across Florida, out-of-state, and international teams are expected to participate making this a highly competitive event at the Gold Divisions.SILVER: U8-U19 Single Age Group Brackets
Silver Division is for average to below average Division 1 and competitive Division 2 travel teams. If the number of applications at a certain level allows, Silver 1 and Silver 2 divisions may be created to allow appropriate competition. Teams from Florida, out-of-state, and international teams are expected to participate in the Silver Divisions.BRONZE: U8-U19 Single Age Group Brackets
Bronze Division is primarily for recreational teams and new travel teams seeking comparative competition. U13 (U12 11v11 Division): U12 teams and players preparing for 11v11 soccer for 2015-2016 season. Please note the U13 (U12 11v11 Division) will play under the U13 rules as noted in the Tournament Rules and the registration fee will be the standard U13 fee ($750.00 per team).
All applications must be approved by the tournament committee.
HOW DO I REGISTER
All teams must register on-line. Teams may pay by credit card online. Teams/clubs wishing to pay by check should make their check payable to Weston FC and indicate which team (registration number) the check is for and mail it to:

** Please complete the online application fully. Incomplete applications cannot be accepted.
** If you cannot pay online, register online and then send in your check.
** Teams will not be eligible for acceptance until the registration fee has been received.
** Any team not accepted will receive a refund.
** Any team which withdraws after the application deadline of January 6, 2014 will not be eligible for a refund.
** Any teams registering after the deadline will be placed on an active waiting list depending on availability.
ENTRY FEE
$600.00 for U9 and U10 (playing 6 v 6)
$650.00 for U11 and U12 (playing 8 v 8)
$750.00 for U13 and older (playing 11 v 11)Entry fees received after the January 4, 2016 deadline date will incur an additional $50.00 late fee.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.
U9 and U10 teams play 6-a-side and may carry up to 12 players.
U11 and U12 teams play 8-a-side and may carry up to 14 players.
U13 to U19 teams play 11-a-side and may carry up to 18 players on their roster.
GUEST PLAYERS
Four (4) for U8-U12 and six (6) for U13 and up guest players are allowed depending on age groups. Guest players are counted in the roster maximum. During the tournament a player may play for only one team.
