Thomas Tabbed Finalist for 2017 Senior CLASS Award

The Weston FC membership & family have a unique opportunity to help one of our alumni to achieve a national award.

Martha Thomas, the daughter of Christine Thomas, our Executive Administrator who we all know and love, is the Captain of The University of North Carolina Charlotte 49er’s, and has been shortlisted as one of the Top Ten Senior soccer athletes for the annual National senior CLASS Award. Martha is a great athlete and scholar, having been named to the All Conference USA First Team for both soccer and academic excellence. Martha became the number one goal scorer in the history of the school this year and has received many national awards.

Votes can be made for Martha everyday between now and November 20th. Here is the link to vote and to read Martha’s Bio (click Candidates on the link):

Martha first played for Weston Fury aged 7, when she moved here from England. She was recruited by UNC Charlotte while playing for the Weston FC U17 team at a Disney tournament, coached by Carlos Parra.

Martha remains very connected to Weston FC and will be watching and supporting our Girls Development Academy teams when they play in Charlotte later this month.
