Directors of Coaching - Girls

Under the direction of Girl’s Technical Director Carlos Parra and Girl’s Director of ECNL, Tricia Taliaferro, this technical team has experience at the Olympic, Professional, NCAA, Regional ODP and State level.

Victor Pastora serves as the Club’s Technical Director with Tim Miller, Girl Director of Coaching for U8-U10, Brent Kellum is Girls Director of Coaching for U11 & U12 and Judah Cooks, Girls Director of Coaching for U13+. The WFC staff includes coaches who hold their USSF “A”, “B”, “C”, & “D” National Licenses, State D & E Licenses, National Youth Licenses, and many others who have been being awarded the NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.

Under the direction of these Program Directors, our coaches enable WFC teams to compete in Premier Divisions in SFU, State Leagues, Region Leagues, and in nationally recognized tournaments throughout the country. These include Atlanta Cup, CASL Shootout and Showcase, Jefferson Cup, Las Vegas Showcase, Manchester Cup, and Texas Shootout.

Our female athletes are strongly encouraged to participate in high visibility tournaments and leagues, as the club looks to expand their soccer experiences.  As our players and families make decisions that will affect the rest of their lives, our aim is to utilize the extensive knowledge and insight our staff possesses to assist players with their future decisions.  Providing continuing education for players and parents is fundamental to the Club’s programming.

Director of Coaching: Girls U8 - U10

Coaching Experience: Tim Miller has been coaching for 18 years.  While playing in college, Tim began coaching and training at the high school level and moved to Florida in 2000.  Tim began his club coaching at Boca United FC from 2002-2008. He would eventually become Director of Coaching of the girls program at Kicks SC/FC Florida from 2008-2014 developing players that would go into US National Youth training camps and various collegiate programs around the nation.

Education: He has a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Physical Education and Health Education from Shepherd University and a masters in Education Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Tim has been a teacher and administrator for 15 years.  Tim attended NCAA DII Shepherd University where he started all four years earning all conference honors as a forward.

Awards: Tim was the Florida Youth Soccer Association Girls Competitive Coach of the year in 2010.  Tim is a trainer and scout for both the US Soccer Federation Training Centers in Florida and US Club Soccer  ID2 program.

License: Tim holds his NSCAA National Diploma, NSCAA GK Level 1 and 2 and NSCAA Director of Coaching license as well as the USSF National Youth Diploma.

Coaching Experience: Central Virginia United - Technical Director (2009-2014), Virginia Youth Soccer Association - State and District ODP Staff (2009-2014). Years Coaching:  13 years

Playing Experience: Captain, Liberty University, All Big South Conference Honors, VA-SID All State Team at Liberty University, 2 time NCYSA State Champion, 2 time Region III Champion, 2 time National Championship Bronze Medalist

Significant Awards: 7 consecutive Skyline League Club Championships (Central Virginia United), Virginia Independent Schools Conference Coach of the Year.

License: USSF “B”

Years Coaching: 8

Coaching Experience: DC United - Assistant Director of Youth Development 2005-2011,

Playing Experience: Professional Soccer for MLS Clubs Miami Fusion and DC United, US U20 National Team.

Youth Career: U17-U20 National Teams. 3 Time Parade All American.

Significant Awards: 100% College Placement for Academy Players at DC United, Players Coaches at DC United graduated into professional ranks, including MLS Rookie of the Year Andy Najar.  Organized and ran an inner city youth soccer program in Washington DC that grew to involve over 1500 players, Athletic Honor Roll, All-ACC and All-American Honors playing for the Terrapins.

Additional Responsibilities: U17-U18 age groups, providing technical support to the coaching staff and assisting with training and games.
